The Future of Behavioral HealthcareAI, Clinical Care, and Better Outcomes for Employers

The Future of Behavioral Healthcare — October 6, 2026

AI is changing behavioral healthcare quickly, but expanding access is only part of the opportunity. How AI is designed, governed, and integrated with clinical care is what determines whether it's worth trusting. This conversation examines the changing landscape, what responsible AI in mental healthcare actually requires, and what we're learning from a model that combines AI with licensed providers.

The Context

An extension of Report No. 02.

Read the original report

82% of US employers offer an EAP. Between 5 and 10% of employees actually use it. The gap between what companies provide and what people reach for has defined the workforce mental health category for a decade.

New AI behaviors have emerged in adults across that same decade — people now turn to AI for support the way they once turned to search, and the utilization gap that defined EAPs is starting to close in places no one expected. This conversation connects that shift to the webinar's focus: what responsible AI in mental healthcare requires, what we're learning from a blended AI and provider model, and where the low-utilization gap actually begins to shrink.

The Agenda

One hour, from landscape to live experience.

0–15 min

The landscape is changing.

What's shifting in behavioral healthcare, where traditional models continue to fall short, and why AI is creating an opportunity to rethink how people reach mental health support in the first place.

15–30 min

Trust has to be designed in.

AI can expand access. Mental healthcare raises the harder question: how do you do it responsibly? Clinical safeguards, human involvement, escalation paths, and the boundaries between AI support and licensed care.

30–45 min

A different model of care.

What changes when AI and licensed providers aren't competing models, but parts of the same care experience. Early outcomes and directional signals from employers using Thoughtful, findings from the blended-care trial, what participating providers are telling us, and how members move between AI and licensed care.

45–60 min

See it for yourself.

A live demonstration of the actual Thoughtful experience — a real conversation, in real time, not a Figma prototype or a pre-recorded walkthrough. Bring questions in the chat; we'll close with a short live Q&A.

A Few Things To Know

Frequently asked.

Will the recording be available?

Yes. Every registrant receives the recording after the event, whether you attend live or not.

Who is this for?

HR, total rewards, benefits, and wellbeing leaders evaluating the future of behavioral healthcare — as well as brokers and benefits consultants advising employers.

Is this a sales pitch?

We'll demonstrate our product and share early findings, so you'll see plenty of Thoughtful. But the broader conversation is about the changing behavioral health landscape, what responsible AI in mental healthcare requires, and what new models of care make possible. It should be useful whether or not you ever work with us.

Will you share actual Thoughtful outcomes?

Yes. We'll share early outcomes and directional signals from employers using Thoughtful, plus what we're learning from our blended model. We'll be clear about which findings are early and which come from completed research.

Is the product demonstration live?

Yes. It's a live demonstration of the actual Thoughtful experience — a real conversation in real time, not a Figma prototype or a pre-recorded product tour.

What if I can't attend live?

Register anyway. Registrants receive the recording after the event, and you can submit a question in advance.
